This document describes the IIWEY S2 Dash Cam, an upgraded version of the S1 model, designed for in-car video recording.

Function Description:

The IIWEY S2 Dash Cam is a dual-camera system (front and rear) that records video in various resolutions, including 4K. It features GPS functionality for tracking driving trajectories and automatically correcting time zones. The dash cam supports parking monitoring and emergency video recording, triggered by collisions or shakes. It can be operated manually or automatically when connected to the car charger. The device includes Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to connect their smartphones via the "WitCam Pro" (Android) or "WitCam" (iOS) app to view, download, edit, and share videos and photos. The rear camera is waterproof, allowing for both inside and outside car installation, and supports a reversing aid function if connected to the reverse lamp's live wire.

Usage Features:

Power On/Off: Single press the Power Button to turn on; long press to turn off. Automatically powers on with car engine and off 5 seconds after engine is turned off when connected to car charger.
Recording: Automatic recording upon power-on. Loop recording with selectable durations (1, 3, 5 minutes, or OFF). Overwrites oldest videos when SD card is full.
Touchscreen Operation: Intuitive touch display for settings and navigation. Swipe left/right to switch front/rear lens view or navigate menu pages.
MENU Settings: Access various settings like Video Resolution, Photo Resolution, Loop Record, Exposure, WDR, Wi-Fi, Parking Monitor, G-sensor, Sleep Timer, Language, Tones, Recording, Motion Detection, Frequency, Reverse Power, Time Zone, Speed Unit, Daylight Saving Time, Date/Time, Default Setting, and Version.
Parking Monitor: Records 30-second emergency videos upon collision/shake when parked. Requires continuous power (e.g., hardwire kit or power bank) for extended monitoring.
G-sensor: Detects collisions and shakes, locking the current video to prevent overwriting. Adjustable sensitivity (Off, Low, Medium, High).
Motion Detection: Automatically starts recording when the front camera detects object movement. Records 22-second videos.
Rear Camera: Waterproof, can be installed inside or outside. Red wire for reversing aid function (optional connection to reverse lamp).
GPS Functionality: Automatically sets time zone. GPS symbol flashes when searching for signal, becomes stable when signal is received. GPS logs can be viewed via the WitCam app or PC version.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: Connects to smartphone app for live view, video/photo playback, download, editing, and sharing. Note: Cannot operate dash cam screen (except recording controls) when connected to Wi-Fi.
App Features: "WitCam Pro" (Android) / "WitCam" (iOS) allows viewing recorded videos/photos, downloading to phone, editing clips, adding background music, and sharing. Includes "Loop" folder for all recordings, "Emergency" for locked videos, and "Photo" for images.
PC Connectivity: Connect via USB cable to PC to access files as "Mass Storage" or use as "PC Camera." Dedicated "WITCAM" PC Version software available for viewing videos with GPS logs.
LED Indicator: Red light for charging (solid when charging, off when fully charged). Blue light for active status (flashes during recording, solid when recording stops).

Maintenance Features:

SD Card Management: Supports 32GB-256GB MicroSD cards. Recommends formatting the card every 2 weeks to maximize its lifetime. Format on the dash cam or computer (exFAT format, 32KB or 64KB allocation unit size for Windows).
System Update: Software updates can be downloaded from the IIWEY website and installed via the MicroSD card or by connecting the dash cam to a computer.
Troubleshooting: Provides solutions for common issues like "Can't turn on," "Screen freeze" (reset button), "Memory error" (format SD card, update firmware), "Wi-Fi connection issues" (check phone settings, reset dash cam), and "Automatic turn on/off" (check memory card, cigarette lighter contact, format SD card, disable parking monitor/motion detection).
Hardwire Kit: Optional accessory to enable 24-hour parking monitoring by providing continuous power to the dash cam even when the car engine is off. Includes Low Voltage Protection to prevent car battery drain.
Environmental Considerations: Advices against direct sun exposure in hot weather and recommends detaching the camera from the windshield and storing it in the glove box in extreme winter conditions (-20°C or lower).
