STVP ed 02/06 VICTRIX Plus
is results in the control unit (IGN. BOARD) being powered
and the ignition cycle starting which proceeds in the same way
as the heating request with a room thermostat.
During the ignition phase, the fan works at a speed equivalent
to half the maximum speed set with the fan speed adjustment
trimmer (FAN POT.).
Once the flame is detected, the speed is changed (modulated)
in a way directly proportionate to the difference between the
boiler and room temperatures set and read and, if necessary,
reaches the maximum set value in 50 seconds (maximum
output).
Once the set value is exceeded, the contact of relay K3 opens
and the burner switches off. To restart the burner, for the same
request, you have to wait at least 180 seconds.
Domestic hot water request.
If the temperature measured by the NTC sensor on the storage
tank (B4) is below the temperature set with the d.h.w. potenti-
ometer (D.H.W.), the low voltage circuit starts the pump (M1)
by means of relay K2 and powers the 3-way diverter valve (M3)
motor (M) by way of the relay K1 contact.
When the pump pressure switch micro (S2) closes, burner
ignition proceeds in the same way as for the heating phase.
Flame modulation takes place with reference to the delivery
temperature detected by the heating sensor (B1) which is
varied according to the difference between the temperature set
with the domestic hot water potentiometer (D.H.W.) and the
temperature measured by the d.h.w. sensor (B4).
When the temperature measured by the d.h.w. sensor (B4)
exceeds the value required, the contact of relay K3 opens,
closing again as soon as the temperature drops.
If, during operation, the heating sensor (B1) measures a
delivery temperature higher than 90ºC, the contact of relay
K3 opens, closing again as soon as the temperature drops to
75ºC.
Heating antifreeze request.
When the temperature measured by the heating NTC sensor
(B1) drops below 4ºC, the board enables ignition in the heating
phase and keeps the generator working with the burner at mini-
mum output until a 35°C boiler temperature is reached.
Domestic hot water antifreeze request.
If the temperature measured by the d.h.w NTC sensor (B4)
drops below 4ºC, the board enables ignition in the domestic
hot water phase and keeps the generator working with the
burner at minimum output until the d.h.w. (B4) sensor meas-
ures a temperature of 8ºC.
During operation, the water in the primary circuit remains
below 35ºC because when this temperature is reached the
board switches the burner off.
“Chimneysweep” request.
By pressing the reset button (PU1) for at least 10 seconds and
then releasing it, the board enables ignition of the boiler and
keeps it working at maximum power in the heating phase for
15 minutes.
In this phase, only the limit thermostat function is enabled
thanks to the heating sensor (B1) (90ºC for the heating tem-
perature range 25ºC–85ºC and 50ºC for the heating temperature
range 25ºC–45ºC).
e function is indicated by the simultaneous flashing of the
heating LED (DL1) and the d.h.w. LED (DL2) and by the
code “E07” on the CAR display (if installed).
It is only engaged if no heating, d.h.w. or antifreeze requests
are in progress.
It can only be interrupted by cutting power to the circuit.
