in place, never both.

The two rear outboard seating positions are equipped with
LATCH-type (ISOFIX) anchor rings shown below (A). These may be
used for Rear-Facing Car Seats. There are two anchors for the
right rear seat, and two for the left rear seat. They are located
between the bottom cushion and the seat back in each of the two
outer rear seats.
Each anchor location is marked with this symbol:
