Manual Shifting Mode
Manual shifting mode can be useful in dierent situations,
including:
On steep descents, when downshifting can provide
engine braking to
help to control your speed without
over-relying on the brakes. This can reduce brake
overheating and wear.
On steep ascents, when a lower gear can provide more
power.
When towing heavy loads, and a lower gear can provide
additional torque to
help move the weight, especially
from a standstill or up an incline.
To activate manual mode:
Move the gear lever to the left from the D (Drive)
position.
Use the gear selector to manually change gears.
To shift down, press the gear selector forward.
To shift up, pull the gear selector rearward.
