1 Introduction
1.1 Product Overview
This chapter introduces the EonStor DS S12/ S16 /S24 series, RAID/JBOD system
supporting, 3Gb/s, 6Gb/s SAS or Serial ATA (3Gbps SATA-II) drive interface. The 2U/
3U/ 4U enclosure is designed to contain twelve, sixteen and twenty-four 3.5” disk
drives, respectively. Drive capacity can be expanded by attaching drive enclosures
(JBODs).

S = single and upgradable to dual controller
G = single and NOT upgradable to dual controller
(E) “J” stands for JBOD.
