The RAID controller module contains a main circuit board, an interface faceplate, a
cooling module bay, and a pre-installed DDRII DIMM module. The controller on the
dual controller model also features a CBM, consisting of a BBU and flash backup
module. The CBM and its components might be optional items. See 1.4.2 Controller

The controller module contains no user-serviceable components. Except when
installing/upgrading the cache memory or installing/replacing a CBM, the controller
module should never be removed or opened.
WARNING
Although the RAID controller can be removed, the only time you should touch the
controller itself is to install/replace the memory modules or CBM. The RAID controller
is built of sensitive components and unnecessary tampering can damage the
controller.
Docking connectors: The FCI docking connectors at the rear of the controller
mate the main circuit board with the backplane.
Ejection levers: Two ejection levers on the sides of the module help installing
and retrieving the controller.
Host ports: Connects to host computers. See 1.4.3 Host Port of RAID Models for
details.
COM1: Each controller module comes with one serial COM port. The COM1 port
