Note: If while flying in an autonomous mode the aircraft is behaving
unexpectedly, dangerously or abnormally, switch to position mode to regain
control. Any input on the transmitter’s joysticks during an autonomous mission
will revert control back to the operator.
Caution: The IF1200 is automatically set to return to launch as a failsafe when the
battery voltage gets too low to continue flight; however, keep an eye on the
battery level in QGC and replace the batteries conservatively to mitigate risk.
This mode is recommended for normal landings and for landing after an
autonomous mission.
Selecting Flight Mode
If using a Jeti DS-12 Controller:
Switching flight modes on the Jeti DS-12 Controller is achieved by flipping the three-way
switch on the top right on the controller’s face (‘K’ on DS-12 Controller diagram) to one of
three positions.
Position Mode: Top/middle switch position
Return to Home Mode: Bottom switch position
Note: Any additional flight modes can easily be programmed to the Jeti DS-12 switches
by selecting the ‘Flight Modes’
If using a Herelink Controller:
Switching flight modes on the Herelink Controller is achieved by pressing the
corresponding buttons on the controller’s face.
Position Mode: Short press button A (Flight Mode Switch Button, labeled ‘G’ on Herelink
Controller diagram.)
Return to Home Mode: Long press button A (Flight Mode Switch Button, labeled ‘G’ on
Herelink Controller diagram.)
3.9. Opening QGroundControl
Note: If using a Herelink controller, skip to ‘QGroundControl Basics’, as the Herelink
controller has QGroundControl built into the controller.
1. First, ensure you have QGroundControl software installed on a PC, tablet, or
phone.
