Why doesn't the float valve rise on my Instant Pot?
    • H
      hunterkarenSep 18, 2025
If the float valve on your Instant Pot does not rise, it could be due to food debris on the float valve or its silicone cap. Remove the float valve from the lid and clean it thoroughly. Also, check for scorching on the bottom of the inner pot and ensure there is enough liquid. Add 1 1/2 cups of a thin cooking liquid to the inner pot. Ensure the float valve silicone cap is installed and not damaged. If the float valve is obstructed by the lid-locking mechanism, tap it with a long utensil. If the float valve still does not drop, turn the cooker off and contact Customer Care.

      Lance StevensAug 25, 2025
If white smoke is coming from your Instant Pot Fryer Lid, it may be due to cooking foods with a high fat content. Try to avoid air frying foods that contain a lot of fat. Alternatively, the food may be too moist. Pat dry moist food ingredients before air frying. Also, be mindful when seasoning food. Spray vegetables and meats before adding seasoning so they adhere to the ingredients.
