If steam leaks from the side of the Instant Pot Electric Pressure Cooker lid, ensure that the sealing ring is fitted correctly, or replace it if damaged. Also, remove the sealing ring and clean it thoroughly to eliminate any food debris. Make sure that the lid is closed properly. In some cases, the sealing ring rack may be warped or off-centre, or the inner pot rim may be misshapen, or there may be food debris on float valve or float valve silicone cap, or the float valve silicone cap may be damaged or missing, or the float valve may be obstructed by the lid-locking mechanism, or there may be no heat in the inner pot.
