5. Help screen to interpret the results:
Charging voltage normal: Charg-
ing system indicates alternator out-
put is normal, no problem detected.
Charging voltage too low: Check if the
drive belt is slipping or check if the line
connection between alternator and bat-
tery is normal or not. If the drive belt and
lead connection are OK, please follow
the vehicle manufacturer‘s recommen-
dations to rule out alternator failure.
Charging voltage too high: The output
voltage of the alternator is too high. Please
contact a specialist workshop to check the
charging device. The usual voltage for au-
tomotive regulators is 14.7 ±0.5 V. High
charging voltage will overcharge the battery
and shorten its life, also it may cause mal-
function.
6. Time of the end of the charge test.
7. Open circuit voltage: Green means normal,
red indicates too high or too low voltage.
8. Voltage at higher speeds: Blue means nor-
mal, red indicates voltage is too high or too
low.
9. Diode ripple test: Orange means normal, red
indicates too high or too low.
10. Here you can repeat the test.
