How to handle a leaking hose in Intex Water Filtration Systems?
    • B
      Briana MaxwellAug 16, 2025
If a hose is leaking on your Intex Water Filtration System, first ensure the hose nut is securely tight (tighten or reinstall it). Also, check if the hose connection fitting o-ring or L-shape o-ring is missing or damaged (ensure it's in place and not damaged).

Why doesn't my Intex Water Filtration System pump water or the flow is very slow?
    • C
      craig58Aug 19, 2025
There are several reasons why your Intex Water Filtration System might not be pumping water effectively. It could be due to trapped air in the system (release the air), clogged inlet or discharge (clear any obstructions), an air leak on the intake line (tighten hose nuts, check hoses for damage, check pool water level), an excessively dirty pool (backwash filter), or sand media clogged with dirt (remove about 1” of sand if necessary). Other possible causes are reversed nozzle and strainer connections (install correctly), crusting on the filtering sand surface (remove about 1” of sand if necessary), a pool vacuuming device attached to the system (remove it), or the inlet threaded air connector connected to the wrong hole on the liner (connect to the pool inlet upper hole).

What to do if my Intex Water Filtration Systems filter doesn’t clean the pool?
    • K
      Kathleen VillegasAug 22, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration System isn’t cleaning your pool effectively, consider these possible causes: improper chlorine or pH levels (adjust them), missing filtering media in the tank (load with filter sand), wrong 6-way valve setting position (set to 'FILTER'), an excessively dirty pool (operate the filter for longer periods), or a strainer screen restricting water flow (clean the strainer screen at the inlet).

How to fix an Intex Water Filtration Systems pump that doesn't work?
    • D
      Darlene BrewerAug 26, 2025
If your Intex Water Filtration Systems pump isn’t working, the issue might be due to a low water level (fill the pool), a clogged strainer screen (clean it), or an air leak on the intake hose (tighten hose nuts, check the hose for damage). If these steps don't resolve the issue, contact an Intex service center, as the motor may be faulty or the impeller jammed.

How to troubleshoot an Intex Water Filtration Systems motor that fails to start?
    • D
      Donald KellerAug 28, 2025
If the motor of your Intex Water Filtration System fails to start, first ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. If that's not the problem, check if the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker has tripped (reset it; if it trips repeatedly, call an electrician). Also, the motor may be too hot (let it cool down and restart).

What to do if the Intex Water Filtration Systems 6-way valve or cover is leaking?
    • G
      Gregory ScottAug 31, 2025
If the 6-way valve or cover of your Intex Water Filtration System is leaking, check for a missing or dirty sand tank o-ring (ensure it's in place and clean it with garden hose water). Also, make sure the flange clamp is securely tightened. If the valve is damaged, contact an Intex service center.

Why is sand flowing back into my Intex Water Filtration Systems pool?
    • J
      Jason NewmanSep 3, 2025
If sand is flowing back into your pool from your Intex Water Filtration System, it could be because the sand is too small (use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75) or the sand bed is calcified (change the sand).

What causes the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve to leak in Intex Water Filtration Systems?
    • M
      matthewmolinaSep 6, 2025
If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve is leaking in your Intex Water Filtration System, it could be due to a plunger valve not well-fitted (tighten or reinstall it), an air jet valve that is not tight and facing up (tighten it and ensure it’s facing up), an air jet valve internal seal blocked (turn pump ON and run for few seconds, then turn OFF, repeat 3 times), an air jet valve internal seal dirty (remove it, flush dirt out with water and replace it), or an air jet valve broken (replace it).

Why is my Intex Water Filtration Systems timer inaccurate or can't be set?
    • W
      Wanda HigginsSep 9, 2025
If the timer on your Intex Water Filtration System is inaccurate or can't be set, the inner timer may be defective (turn off the pump and restart 5 minutes later). You can also try to re-set the timer. If the problem persists, contact an Intex service center.

What to do if pressure gauge doesn’t work on Intex Water Filtration Systems?
    • S
      Sandra MejiaSep 12, 2025
If the pressure gauge on your Intex Water Filtration System isn’t working, it could be due to a clogged inlet (clear any obstructions by unscrewing it from the 6-way valve). If that doesn’t solve the problem, the pressure gauge may be damaged, and you should contact an Intex service center.
