Draining the Cooling System
1. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Open the coolant drain cock on the radiator
to discharge the coolant.
3. Loosen the water drain plug located on the
left side of the cylinder block, and discharge
the coolant inside the engine.
4. Close the drain cock and the water drain
plug.
Cleaning the Coolant Passages
1. Fill the radiator with tap water up to the top
of the opening.
2. Check and clean the radiator cap. Replace
the cap if it is damaged.
3. Firmly close the radiator cap.
4. Fill the reserve tank with tap water up to the
specified level.
5. Close the cap of the reserve tank.
6. Start the engine to idle it for 20 minutes, and
then stop the engine, wait until it cools down
sufficiently, and drain out the water.
