Overview

The ITC T-2120DS/2240DS/2350DS/2500DS Class-D Amplifier is a high-performance public address system component designed for various audio applications. It features a 1U standard 19-inch industrial chassis, making it suitable for rack mounting in professional audio setups. The amplifier series offers a range of rated output powers, including 120W, 240W, 350W, and 500W, across its different models (T-2120DS, T-2240DS, T-2350DS, T-2500DS respectively). Each model provides two output channels for speakers.

Function Description:

This Class-D amplifier utilizes a high-efficiency amplifying circuit and a built-in high-efficiency switching power supply, achieving an overall efficiency of up to 85%. This design contributes to its light weight and aesthetic appearance. The amplifier is designed to maintain stable working conditions even in harsh environments, thanks to its reasonable heat dissipation layout, which extends its lifespan. It supports both constant resistance (4-16Ω) and 100V constant voltage speakers, offering flexibility in speaker connection. A phoenix terminal is included for remote monitoring of the equipment's working status.

Usage Features:

The front panel includes volume potentiometers for each channel (CH1-CH4), allowing adjustment of the input power from -30dB to +40dB. A power switch (POWER SWHIT) controls the unit's power. Indicators such as POWER (blue), SIG (green), PROT (red), and PEAK (orange) provide visual feedback on the amplifier's status. The SIG indicator lights up with music signal input, its brightness varying with signal sensitivity. The PROT indicator illuminates when protection functions are active due to short-circuit, overload, or overheating. The PEAK indicator signals when the amplifier has reached its rated power output peak, advising volume reduction to prevent distortion. Dedicated indicators for 100V mode and 4-16Ω constant resistance mode are also present.

The rear panel features AC power input, cooling ports with fans for heat dissipation, 100V/4-16Ω speaker output ports, a remote monitor port, and balanced signal input interfaces. Input sensitivity is set to 0dB (0.775V) by default. Switch buttons are provided for selecting between 100V and 4-16Ω modes.

For operation, users connect the AC power line and then turn on the power switch. The amplifier's built-in protection relay engages, and indicators light up briefly before settling into normal operation. Audio source signals are connected to the rear panel, and the volume potentiometer is adjusted to the desired level. The amplifier supports balanced input signals, ideally from a preamplifier for optimal performance. When connecting speakers, it's crucial to ensure all connections are properly fixed to avoid sound quality issues or damage. For 100V systems, speakers must be connected in parallel, and their total power should not exceed 80% of the amplifier's rated output power.

Maintenance Features:

The amplifier incorporates protection mechanisms against high temperature, overload, and short circuits. In case of overloading or insufficient ventilation, the unit may overheat. To protect both the amplifier and connected speakers, a thermal protection circuit will automatically activate, cutting off the output or power. The unit will recover automatically once the internal temperature returns to normal.

Users are advised to keep the cooling ports and fan clear to ensure good ventilation and prevent overheating. Regular cleaning of the unit and its power supply plug is recommended to prevent dust accumulation, which could lead to fire or damage. The manual emphasizes the importance of not opening the unit's case due to high voltage components inside and directs all servicing to an authorized ITC dealer. It also warns against placing liquids or metallic objects on top of the unit to prevent fire or electric shock.
