CAN Repeater - Manual, Version 3.6

4. Bus termination configuration
For optimum communication, the individual electrical CAN-segment is to be
terminated at both ends with the impedance of the line. The termination
resistors prevent reflections on the line ends and ensure a current path for
discharging the dominant to the recessive level. Termination resistors are
mounted on the repeater and could be activated or deactivated by soldering
jumper.
Attention: Open the device only on electrostatic safe areas!
Bus termination:
Default configuration:
Order number 1.01.0064.44000, 1.01.0064.90001:
Termination CAN1 and CAN2 Rt=120 Ω active
(Soldering jumper closed at „120R Term.“).
Order number 1.01.0064.90003:
No termination at CAN1
Termination at CAN 2 Rt = 120 Ω active.
Order number: 1.01.0064.46000:
Termination Rt= 120 Ω at CAN 1 active.
No termination at CAN2 allowed (Low Speed- CAN).
To close the soldering jumper means to activate the
termination resistor of Rt= 120 Ω between CAN_H and
CAN_L at the described CAN segment
To disable the bus termination open the soldering jumper.
