What to do if my Jacuzzi JVS165S pump won't prime?
    • K
      Kyle JohnsonAug 20, 2025
If your Jacuzzi Plumbing Product pump won't prime, start by ensuring the pump and strainer housing are full of water and the cover o-ring is clean and properly seated. Lubricate the o-ring sealing surface with “Jack’s 327” to ensure a tighter seal, and firmly lock the strainer cover. Also, make sure all pipe and union connections are tight. Check the strainer and skimmer baskets for debris, and ensure all hose clamps are secure. If the pump develops a vacuum, check for a blocked suction line or a dirty strainer basket. Ensure the motor is rotating at full RPMs by checking the voltage. Inspect the impeller for debris and check the suction for clogging or obstruction.

Why is my Jacuzzi JVS165S pump so noisy?
    • A
      Alexandra PetersAug 21, 2025
If you have a noisy Jacuzzi Plumbing Product pump, it might be due to an air leak in the suction piping, cavitations from a restricted suction line, a leak at a joint, low water level, or unrestricted discharge return lines. Try correcting the suction condition or throttling return lines. Ensure the pump is mounted on a level surface and securely fastened. Check for and remove any foreign matter in the pump housing. Noisy motor bearings may also be the cause.

Why is the water flow so low in my Jacuzzi JVS165S?
    • L
      Lori LaraSep 3, 2025
If you are experiencing low flow with your Jacuzzi Plumbing Product, the strainer or suction line might be clogged or restricted. Undersized pool piping could also be the cause. If you have a plugged or restricted discharge line, backwash sand and D.E. filters as per the manufacturer's instructions, or clean/replace the cartridge in cartridge filters. Check for air leaks in the suction line and re-tighten connections with PTFE tape. A plugged, restricted, or damaged impeller can also cause low flow; consider replacing it along with a new seal assembly.
