Why my Janome PDA machine does not run?
    • D
      David McintyreSep 9, 2025
If your Janome PDA machine isn't running, there might be a thread caught in the hook race (refer to page 47). Another possibility is a control circuit malfunction; try turning the machine off and on again. Also, ensure the machine is properly connected to the power supply, as described on page 5.

What to do if Janome PDA visual touch screen is not clear or it skips stitches?
    • S
      Sarah RobinsonSep 12, 2025
If you are experiencing issues with the visual touch screen or skipped stitches on your Janome PDA, consider the following: First, ensure the screen contrast is properly adjusted, as described on page 21. Check that the needle is correctly inserted and not bent or blunt; refer to page 14 for guidance. Verify that the needle thread is correctly threaded, as explained on pages 9 and 10. Replace the needle if it's defective (rusted or has a burred eye). Ensure the embroidery hoop is properly set (page 18) and that the fabric is tightly pulled (page 17). Finally, confirm that a stabilizer is being used, as described on page 16.

Why does the bobbin thread break on my Janome PDA?
    • A
      Anna SmithSep 13, 2025
If the bobbin thread breaks on your Janome PDA, it might be due to incorrect threading in the bobbin holder; see page 8 for instructions. Lint accumulation in the bobbin holder can also cause this issue; refer to page 47 for cleaning instructions. Additionally, a damaged bobbin that doesn't turn smoothly should be replaced.

What causes abnormal noise and distorted patterns on my Janome PDA?
    • P
      Pamela MillsSep 15, 2025
If your Janome PDA is making abnormal noises when switched on or patterns are distorted, check for these issues: Something might be caught between the carriage and the arm; remove any obstruction. Ensure the carriage isn't touching anything around the machine (page 18). Verify that the fabric is tightly pulled on the embroidery hoop (page 17) and that the hoop is securely fixed (page 18). Also, make sure the carriage isn't bumping into anything nearby (page 18). If the fabric is caught or pulled during embroidery, stop the machine and free the fabric. Check if the needle thread tension is too tight (page 13) and ensure a stabilizer is being used (page 16).

      Nicole FergusonSep 17, 2025
If the pattern selection keys on your Janome PDA aren't working, it could be due to an improperly adjusted key position, as explained on page 22.
