Before
coupling
to
trailer,
inspect
all
moving
parts
of
fifth
wheel. Replace all
bent or
worn
parts.

Give complete unit
a
thor-
ough
inspection every
2,000
miles.

Make certain all installa-
tion
bolts
and
nuts
are
tight.
Lubricate the
jack
by
extend-
ing
to
full
down
position
and
insert
SAE
30
oil
through
oil
hoie
in
top
of
jack.
Do
this
several times per season.
Each fall
before
storing
coach
remove the
tlat
plate
on
the
upper
hand
of
jack.
Examine.
the
two
gears
and
regrease
if
needed.
Exzend
jack
leg
to
maximum
withoarl
exerting
pressure
to
mechanism.
Lightly
oil
the
inner
jack
leg
and retract.
It
is
very
important to
check
tires
often
as
noted
on
page

of
Chapter
111.
It
is
important
lo
have
brakes
adjusted between
280-500
miles
after initial break-in
period
by
selling dealer.
This
operation
may
or
may not
be
included
as
part
of'
selling
price.
After
initial
break-in
it
is
recommended
to
adjust
brakes
after
each

miles
or
at
beginning
of
each
season's
camping
trips.
