CHAPTER
V
APPLIANCES
The
appliances in your new Jayco trailer are of quality and name
brand manufacture. They are applicable to current code and
standard requirements.
All
are designed to operate only on L.P.-gas,
(not
on
NATURAL
gas.)
Each appliance has
its
own
manual and instructions to operate as
supplied by its manufacturer.
Any brushed chrome surface needs to have cleaning and polishing
attention as
folIows:
Clean
the chrome with
a
mild soap and water, wipe dry with a soft
cloth and apply a light coat of oil such as "Johnson's Baby Oil"
periodically.
After each use, light splattering
or
finger prints can easily be wiped
off with
a
paper towel.
The products of combustion from the top burner pilots will cause red
deposits
to
build
up
on the underside of the top. This will
NOT
affect
the life
of
the top. However,
if
you wish to prevent it, keep the
underside of the top regularly coated with a light baby oil and
wipe
the deposit
off
regularly as
it
appears.
DO
NOT
use steel wool, ammonia, acids, or abrasives on finished
chrome surfaces.
Normal
cooking vapors will condense
on
the vent and backguard
leaving
a
brownish deposit. This should be cleaned off with soap and
water
at
the end of each cooking period.
If
the deposits are allowed to accumulate, a hard stain will develop
which
will
be difficult to remove and
may
damage the finish.
FURNACE
(Optional
in 1650
Express
Only)
The
furnace in your new
R.V.
coach uses a forced air system.
This
is
a
completely sealed unit drawing in outside air for combustion and
also delivering hot air to the interior of the trailer with the dual type
blower.
A
thermostat
is
located on
a
cabinet wall for fingertip heat control.
For additional information and lighting procedures, please
see
the
manual supplied by the heater manufacturer. The lighting procedure
is also described on the heater casing.
