UNCOUPLING
PROCEDURE
1.
Park
fifth
wheel coach
in
a
level position.
2.
Lower front jacks by turning crank
until
a
small amount of weight
rests on jacks.
3.
Place wheel chocks or some type
of
block
in
front and behind
wheels.
4.

5.
Disconnect
12-V
power line and break-away switch line between
truck and trailer.
6.
Pull lock pin
(B)
forward, move release handle
up,
and
pull
towards (a.) door side of trailer or
(b.!
your standing position as far
as possible. The handles should
rest
on the
bar
as
in
Figure
3.
7.
Drive truck slowly from trailer.
8.
Now turn crank to finish leveling the trailer.
There
is
no recommended hitch height for this coach. The pin
box
is
adjustable
at
2"
intervals for variance
in
trucks
and
their suspension
systems. Please attempt
to
travel with your truck and coach as near
level as possible.
Loading camping equipment
in
your travel trailer should
be
handled
with serious consideration.
Your
Jayco travel trailer has been
designed to provide maximum convenience and storage space.
All
heavy items such as canned food and pots
and
pans should
be
stored
in
lower cabinet space, preferably near axles or slightly
forward of wheels. Excessive
heavy
items need to be secured to avoid
shifting while
in
transit. Use the overhead cabinets for items such as
napkins,
paper plates, and other lightweight
bulky
materials.
