WATER
PUMP
The water
pump
in
your new Jayco
K.V.
is
a 12-volt
demand
pump.
This
pump
has been prewired for immediate use.
If
your switch
is
in
the
"off"
position, your
pump
is shut
off
and
will
remain idle. Turn
your
switch to
the
"on"
position and
water
will
be
pumped
to
all
lines
and faucets. When
all
holding areas are fuH,
the
pump
will
shut
off
automatically
and
hold
about
30
-
35
ff
P.S.I.
water pressure.
It is
important that
you
turn
your
pump
off
when
traveling, storage,
andlor when using the city water hookup.
CITY
WATER
SYSTEM
OPERATION
Connect
a flexible
hose
with
3/4"
fitting
to the city water service and
the
R.V.
water filler fitting.
Turn
on the city water and
yau
will
receive pressure at all faucets, the toilet, and the water heater.
Be
sure
to
purge
the
system
of
trapped air before
Iighting
the
water
heater.
CAUTION:
Excessive
pressures
from
water
supply
systems
may
be
encountered
in
some parks,
especially
in
mountain regions.
Water
pressure regulators
are
available
to
protect
your
system
against
such
high
pressure.
A
regalator
of
this
type
is
recommended
for
safety
precautions.
PHYSlCAE
PROTECTION
OF INTERIOR
WATER
LINES
Do not store heavy items such as canned goods, tools,
etc.,
in
areas
where they may come
in
contact
with
water piping and electrical
wires and cause damage
due
to road vibration and shifting
of
the
load. Leave
plenty
of
space around the
pump
to allow operation.
DRAINING
THE
FRESH
WATEW.
SYSTEM
After leveling the
R.V.,
the fresh water system should be completely
drained
by
opening all faucets and drain
valves,
including that on the
water heater and
water
storage
tank.
The
shower
mixing
valve
and
the button valve on the shower head should also be opened.
The
following procedure
is
recommended:
I.
Open all faucets, valves and drains.
2.
Leave drains
open.
3.
BIock the
toilet
valve
open (if
of
the mechanical-seal type). This
mag be done
by
blocking the
seal
in
the bottom
of
the
bowl.
Open
with
some object
of
proper
size,
being
careful it does
not
fall
through
into
the
holding
tank.
4.
if
a
water
filter
is
installed,
remove
rhe
filter
cartridge and drain
lower
portion of the housing.
