1. Brief description
The welding units MIG 325 and MIG 405 have been developed for industrial use. Their equipment and their way
of functioning have been designed for professional use.
Solid construction
The current source is housed in a solid sheet steel casing with large wheels making it easy to move. Switches
and control elements are accommodated in a separate dust-free room.
The compact, easily exchangeable control box is available in 2 versions:
MS 15: Standard version including the control functions: wire feed rate, wire back-burn
time, wire creep-in, two-cycle / four-cycle switch, wire feed guide.
Regulation of weld grade and choke
A coarse-adjustment switch and a 12-grade fine-adjustment switch allow a 24-grade or 36-grade regulation of
welding intensity. Two optional choke versions are available corresponding to the welding current and wire
diameter applied.
Wire feed with four-roller drive
Circulating water-cooling for cooling the torch (only water cooled units)
Cooling of current source by fan
The current source is cooled by a low-noise fan. In case of thermal overload, a built-in thermoswitch cuts off the
welding-current.
Central connecting socket
The master connecting socket allows rapid coupling and decoupling of the torch. Cooling-water connections are
also equipped with rapid action coupling.
Welding under increased electrical hazard
The unit may be used for welding operations under increased electrical hazard according to European Standard
EN 60 974-1.
Easy to service
thanks to accessible and maintenance-friendly arrangement. With a few deft movements, the complete control
box can be exchanged.
