Why is the blade on my Jet Saw dulling so fast?
    • A
      Amanda CollinsAug 10, 2025
Premature blade dulling in your Jet Saw can occur for several reasons. If the teeth are too coarse, switch to a finer tooth blade. Reduce the blade speed if it’s too high or check technical literature for speed recommendations. Ensure adequate feed pressure to maintain efficient cutting. Reduce blade speed and increase feed pressure if encountering hard spots or scale on the material. For work-hardening materials like stainless steel, use a sharp blade and release some counterbalance spring pressure if necessary. Also, check that the blade is installed correctly with teeth pointing toward the right end of the saw. Finally, verify you are using the correct coolant or using coolant at all and that the blade tension is high enough to prevent slipping.

What to do if my Jet Saw is making crooked cuts?

      Jonathan GilbertAug 20, 2025
Crooked cuts with your Jet Saw can be caused by the work not being square. Adjust the stationary vise jaw to ensure it is square to the blade and clamp the work tightly. Check the blade for vertical alignment and adjust if needed. Perform test cuts until the cuts are square. Position the guide bearings as close as possible to the work while still completing the cut. Also, check the guide bearings, seats, and brackets for any looseness or wear.

Why is my Jet J-3410 Saw blade breaking so much?
    • K
      Kayla MoodyOct 30, 2025
Excessive blade breakage in your Jet Saw can occur due to several reasons. First, ensure the material is secure in the vise by tightening it and checking the stationary jaw pivot and lock bolts. If stacking materials, confirm all pieces are held by the vise. Also, the blade might be rubbing on the wheel flange; use the paper cutting method to adjust blade tracking and inspect the wheels for any looseness or damage. Make sure that the saw motor has come fully up to speed before beginning a cut and the blade is not resting on the workpiece before the motor has come up to full speed. Additionally, misaligned blade guides or a blade too thick for the wheel diameter can cause breakage, so adjust the blade guides and consider using a thinner blade. Finally, inspect the blade for cracking at the ...
