Why is there excessive blade breakage on my Jet J-7015?
    • V
      virginia80Jul 30, 2025
Excessive blade breakage in your Jet Saw can occur if the material isn't clamped securely. Ensure the workpiece is firmly fixed in the vise. It may also happen due to incorrect speed or feed, so refer to the Machinist’s Handbook for the appropriate settings. Other causes include using teeth that are too coarse for the material (check the Machinist’s Handbook for the correct blade type), incorrect blade tension (adjust until the blade doesn't slip), starting the saw before it contacts the workpiece (start the motor first), the blade rubbing on the wheel flange (adjust blade tracking), misaligned guides (adjust them), or cracking at the weld (longer annealing cycle).

How to fix bad, crooked cuts on my Jet J-7015 Saw?
    • I
      Ian HarveyAug 4, 2025
Bad cuts (crooked) with your Jet Saw can result from the workpiece not being square with the blade. Adjust the vise to ensure it's square and always clamp the workpiece tightly. Also, excessive feed pressure can cause crooked cuts, so decrease the pressure. Improperly adjusted guide bearings (adjust clearance to 0.001 inch, 0.002 inch maximum), inadequate blade tension (gradually increase tension), a wide span between blade guides (move the bracket closer), a dull blade (replace it), incorrect blade speed (check speed settings), a loose blade guide assembly or bearing assembly (tighten them), a blade track too far from wheel flanges (adjust tracking), or worn guide bearings (replace them) can also lead to crooked cuts.

Why is the blade dulling prematurely on my Jet J-7015 Saw?
    • N
      Nicole BennettAug 9, 2025
Premature blade dulling in your Jet Saw can occur if the blade teeth are too coarse (use a finer tooth blade) or the blade speed is too high (try a lower speed). Inadequate feed pressure (decrease spring tension), hard spots or scale on the workpiece (increase feed pressure for hard spots, reduce speed and increase feed pressure for scale), work hardening of material (increase feed pressure by reducing spring tension), insufficient blade tension (increase to proper level), or operating the saw without pressure on the workpiece (avoid idling) can also cause this issue.

What to do if my Jet J-7015 is making bad, rough cuts?
    • R
      Raymond DavisAug 14, 2025
Rough cuts from your Jet Saw can be caused by the blade speed being too high for the feed pressure. Try reducing both the blade speed and the feed pressure. Alternatively, the blade might be too coarse; consider replacing it with a finer blade.

Why is the blade twisting on my Jet Saw?
    • J
      Judith HancockAug 20, 2025
If the blade is twisting on your Jet Saw, it could be binding in the cut. Try decreasing the feed pressure. Alternatively, the blade tension might be too high, so reduce the tension on the blade.

What causes unusual wear on the side or back of the blade on my Jet Saw?
    • R
      rebeccaelliottAug 25, 2025
Unusual wear on the side or back of your Jet Saw's blade can be due to worn blade guides, so replace them. It may also be caused by blade guide bearings that aren't adjusted properly, so adjust them. Another potential cause is a loose blade guide bearing bracket; ensure you tighten it.
