NO/NC Double Resistor 1K
This is the standard Software House method of supervision.
1K Ω is considered Secure and 500 Ω or 2K Ω are considered Alert. The wiring for NO and NC is different, as shown in
Figure 2.

The NO/NC Double Resistor method will report:
■ Short
■ Normal / Secure (1K)
■ Alert (500 Ω or 2K)
■ Open (>30K)
■ Line Fault (Any unexpected value). This is usually due to faulty resistors or incorrect resistor values.
