PREPARATION FOR D PRO LOGI
1. Set the TUNER/CD/DSP selector on the Remote to the DSP
position.
2. Press the PRO LOGIC or the 3CH LOGIC button to set the
mode.
When you use the surround speakers, press the
PRO LOGIC button.
3. Press the CENTER MODE button.
Each time you press the CENTER MODE button,the
mode changes as follows.
PHANTOM __ Select this mode when you don't use the
center speaker.
NORMAL Select this mode when you use the small
size center speaker.
WIDE Select this mode when the size of the
center speaker is same as the that of the
main speakers.
OFF You can shut off the output of the center
channel signal.
Select the NORMAL mode when you use the panoramic shifting
speakers (optional).
Press the 4CH/SEP.C button (the indicator lights up) to set the
separate center mode when you use other center speaker separately
than panoramic shifting speakers (optional).
Press the-DELAY TIME+ button to set the delay time of the
speakers’ output.
You can adjust the delay time every Ims between 15ms
and 30ms.
When the surround speaker is located far from your listening
position as compared to that of the mainspeakers, you can set the
delay time of the sound from the surround speakers.
ex.
Distance Set to
far 15ms
same 20ms
— 30ms

5. Press the TEST TONE button to check your setting.
When you press the buttof, the mode changes automatically
as follows , and you can check the tone from each speaker.

SURROUND
6. Press the-CENTER LEVEL+ button to set the sound level of the
main speakers.
Press the-SURROUND LEVEL + button to set the sound level of
the surround speakers.
* Set each sound level from the main and surround speakers to the same
level.
* You cannot set the surround level when you select the
3CH LOGIC mode.
+ You cannot set the center level when you select the
PHANTOM or OFF mode of the CENTER MODE.
7. Press the TEST TONE button to finish the preparation.
The test tone shuts off.
Now you can use the Dolby Pro Logic mode. Let's listen to the sound
effect!
1. Press either the PRO LOGIC or 3CH LOGIC button.
2. Press the CENTER MODE button.
3. Playa sound source processed with the Dolby Surround System on
which the OO[botsvsuanow] mark is labeled.
The panoramic shifting speakers will shift inward to repro-
duce realistic voice and sound effects.
