Dew indicator
This LED lights when there is
condensation on the head drum;
when it lights, the recorder cannot
be used. If this dew warning lights
when you have switched on the
recorder, you must turn off the
unit and wait for a few hours until
the indicator no longer flashes
when power is applied. |
This
is
normally
a
4-digit
tape
counter
showing
the
amount
of
tape
con-
sumed.
When
the
REMAINING
button
is
Pressed,
the
display
shows
the
amount
of
tape
left
in
minutes
and
seconds.
When
power
is
switched
off
with
the
counter
in
the
Remaining
Time
mode,
the
counter
enters
the
Tape
Counter
mode
automatically
when
power
is
switched
on
again.
The
counter
reading
is
held
in
memory
for
about
one
hour
after
the
power
is
switched
off;
if
you
switch
Power
on
again
within
this
period,
the
previous
counter
reading
will
be
displayed.
REMAINING button
When
this
button
is
pressed,
the
counter
enters
the
Remain-
ing
Time
mode
and
displays
the
approximate
amount
of
tape
remaining
in
terms
of
time.
More
than
5
minutes
remaining:
Only
minutes
are
displayed;
7:00,
6:00,
5:00,
etc.
Less
than
5
minutes
remaining:
Minutes
and
seconds
are
displayed;
4:59,
4:58, 4:57,
etc.
To
switch
to
the
Tape
Counter
mode,
press
this
button
once
again.
MEMORY
button
With
this
button
pressed,
the
tape
stops
automatically
when
the
counter
reads
around
“0000”
in
the
Rewind
and
Fast
Forward
modes.
This
is
convenient
when
you
want
to
locate
a
particular
point
on
the
tape.

When
the
MEMORY
button
is
Pressed,
‘’M’’
ap-
pears
in
the
tape
counter
displ
ay.
RESET button
To
reset
the
tape
counter
to
“0000"’.
Notes
@The
remaining
time
display
,does
not
function
during
fast
forward
or
rewind,
@The
remaining
time
indicator
will
present
this
display
about
10
seconds
while
it
evaluates
the
amount
of
tape
remaining.
