CAUTION
In these case the non-functioning of the MUSIC
SCAN mechanism is not due to a malfunction of
the unit. The MUSIC SCAN facility can only be
used with appropriate tapes.
@ The tune has long pianissimo (low sound level)
passages or includes non-recorded sections.
@ The program is recorded at a low recording
level.
@ Non-recorded sections of tape are too short
(less than 4 seconds).
@ Non-recorded sections of tape contain high
level noise or hum.
Using INDEX SCAN
Press to play back the beginning (about 10 seconds)
of each tune in sequence. !t is convenient to quick-
ly locate any desired tune.
Procedure
1. Load a prerecorded cassette.
2. Press the INDEX SCAN button. When this but-
ton is pressed, the tape travels in the direction
according to the direction indicator.
3. Press the PLAY button when the desired tune
has been located. The index scan mode is can-
celled and playback will start from this point.
@ Press the m (stop) button when you wish to
cancel the index scan mode in the middle of its
operation.
Using the MEMORY function
The memory function operates the section at
the points where the MEMORY switch was set
to ON (+=) and where the counter reading is
“0000”.
So that the tape stops automatically at any desired
position .... memory stop

!n den folgenden Fallen beruht das Nichtfunktionieren der
Music Scan-Funktion nicht auf einem Schaden. Die Music
Scan-Funktion arbeitet nur bei hierflir geeigneten Bandern!
@ Pianissimo-Passagen oder Pausen in einem Titel.
@ insgesamt niedriger Aufnahmepegel.
@ Zu kurze (weniger als 4 Sekunden) unbespielte Passagen.
@ Unbespielte Passagen mit zu hohem Stérgerauschpegel.
Inhalts-Abtastung (INDEX SCAN)
Diese Taste driicken, um der Reihe nach den Beginn (etwa
10 Sekunden) jedes Sticks wiederzugeben. Diese Funktion
ist hilfreich, um schnell ein gewunschtes Stiick zu finden.
Bedienung ;
1. Eine bespielte Cassette einlegen.
2. Die INDEX SCAN-Taste driicken. Wenn diese Taste ge-
drickt wird, lauft das Band in die Richtung entsprechend
der Richtungs-Anzeige.
3. Wenn das gewiinschte Stiick gefunden ist, die PLAY-
Taste drucken. Dadurch wird die Inhalts-Abtastung
beendet, und die Wiedergabe beginnt von dieser Stelle.
@® Durch Drucken der Stoptaste (™) kann die Inhalts-
Abtastung an jeder Stelle gestoppt werden.
Benutzung der Speicherfunktion
Die Speicherfunktion betrifft den Bandabschnitt zwischen
dem Punkt bei dem der MEMORY-Schalter eingeschaltet
wurde ( .m.), und der Zahlwerkstellung ‘0000’.

ATTENTION
Dans les cas suivants, le non fonctionnement du mécanisme

SCAN nest pas dd a un défaut de I’appareil. Le dispositif
de sélection automatique du programme musical MUSIC
SCAN ne peut 6tre utilisé qu’avec des bandes appropriées.
@ Le programme musical posséde un long pianissimo
(niveau sonore bas} ou des parties non enregistrées.
e@ Le programme musical est enregistré avec un faible
niveau d’enregistrement.
@ Les sections non enregistrées de la bande sont trop
courtes (inférieures a 4 secondes).
@ Les sections non enregistrées de la bande contiennent
des bruits ou ronflements de niveau élevé.
Utilisation de la recherche indéxée (INDEX SCAN)
Enfoncer la touche pour lire le début (environ 10 secondes)
de chaque morceau !'un aprés I’autre. Ce mécanisme est
tres commode pour localiser rapidement n‘importe quel
morceau.
Maniére d’opérer
1, Mettre une cassette préenregistrée en place.
2. Enfoncer la touche INDEX SCAN., Quand cette touche
est enfoncée, la bande défile dans la direction indiquée.
3. Enfoncer la touche PLAY quand le morceau désiré a été
atteint. Le mode de recherche indéxée est annulé et la
lecture commence alors.
@ Enfoncer la touche @ (arrét) quand vous voulez annuler
le mode de recherche indéxée pendant le fonctionne-
ment de celui-ci,
Utilisation de la fonction de mémoire (MEMORY)
La mémoire fonctionne point ou le commutateur
MEMORY a été placé sur ON (-—) et au point ou le
compteur indique “0000”.
Pour que la bande s’arréte 4 une position désirée .... arrét
par mémoire
