Quick search (applicable only for USB source)
If you have many files, you can search through them quickly.
Perform the following operation to browse through the list quickly.
KD-X262/KD-X162: Turn the volume knob quickly
KD-X161: Press and hold VOL +/–
Alphabet search (applicable only for iPod source)
You can search for a file according to the first character.
Press 2 J / 1 K or turn the volume knob quickly to select the desired
character (A to Z, 0to9, OTHERS).
• Select “OTHERS” if the first character is other than A to Z, 0 to 9.
• To return to the previous setting item, press

• To cancel, press and hold

USB/iPod/ANDROID AUDIO SETTINGS

Select a preset equalizer directly (for KD-X262/KD-X162)
Press EQ-BASS repeatedly.

Press EQ-BASS, then turn the volume knob within 5seconds.
Preset equalizer:
[FLAT] (default)/ [DRVN3] / [DRVN2] / [DRVN1] / [HARDROCK] / [HIPHOP] / [JAZZ] / [POP] /
[R&B] / [TALK] / [USER] / [VOCALBOOST] / [BASSBOOST] / [CLASSICAL] / [DANCE]
• Drive equalizer ( [DRVN3] / [DRVN2] / [DRVN1] ) boosts specific frequencies in
the audio signal to reduce the noise heard from outside the car or running
noise of the tyres.

Drive equalizer boosts specific frequencies in the audio signal to reduce the
noise heard from outside the car or running noise of the tyres.
Press drvn-BASS repeatedly.
Drive equalizer: [DRVN 3] (default)/ [DRVN 2] / [DRVN 1]

setting.
Refer to [EASYEQ] (page 11) for setting and the result is stored to [USER] .
