n ensures a
smooth
transit

the
Recording
Standby
mode
continues

longer
than
about
5 minutes,
the
unit
switches
itself
off
automatically
for
tape
protection
.
To
restart
recording,
turn
the
power
on.
•Repeating
steps 3
and
5
produces
assemble
re-
cordings.
•If
recording
is
restarted
from
the
Stop
mode, a
few
frames
of
the
previously recorded
picture
is
replaced
with
a
new
recording.
To
avoid this,
follow
the
technique
described in "Assemble
Recording
Technique-2"
on
page 12.
One-hour recording
•To
record longer
on
a single cassette, use
the
EP
(Extended
Play)
mode
.
•For
worry-free shooting, it
is
recommended
that
you
prepare
battery
packs for 3
or
4 times
the
length
of
time
required
for
the
intended
recording.
