What to do if my K2 Pumps Water Pump motor will not run?
    • C
      Crystal AlvaradoAug 12, 2025
If your K2 Pumps Water Pump motor won't run, first ensure the disconnect switch is turned on. If it still doesn't work, check the fuse or circuit breaker and replace or reset it if necessary. If problems persist, the starting switch may be defective and require replacement, but remember to disconnect the power first. Also, inspect all wiring for looseness, disconnections, or incorrect wiring, and tighten as needed after disconnecting the power.

Why does my K2 Pumps IRP07501K motor run hot and overload kicks off?
    • P
      Peggy ChavezAug 17, 2025
If your K2 Pumps Water Pump motor runs hot and the overload kicks off, or if it just hums without running, it could be due to incorrect wiring. Refer to the wiring instructions to ensure it's properly connected. Also, check the voltage being supplied to the motor; if it's too low, consider installing heavier wiring, referring to the wiring chart for the correct size.

What to do if my K2 Pumps Water Pump runs but no water is delivered?
    • P
      Paul PerezAug 23, 2025
If your K2 Pumps Water Pump runs but doesn't deliver water, several issues could be the cause. If it's a new installation, you may need to re-prime the pump according to the instructions. Check all connections on the suction line for air leaks using soapy water or shaving cream. Also, inspect the foot valve or check valve for leaks and replace if necessary. Ensure the pipe size matches the suction and discharge ports on the pump. Other potential problems include a water level below the suction pipe inlet (lower the suction line and re-prime), a plugged impeller (clean it), a stuck check valve or foot valve (replace them), frozen pipes (thaw them and protect them from freezing), or a foot valve/strainer buried in sand or mud (raise them above the bottom of the water source).

Why K2 Pumps Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity?
    • A
      Aaron CannonAug 29, 2025
If your K2 Pumps Water Pump isn't delivering water to its full capacity, the water level in the well might be lower than the estimated depth. If this is the case, a deep well jet may be needed. Corroded or limed steel piping can also cause excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Ensure the piping isn't too small; re-pipe using the size of the suction and discharge ports on the pump. Finally, the pump may not be getting enough water, so consider adding additional well points.

How to fix a K2 Pumps Water Pump that leaks around the clamp?
    • L
      Lauren MurphySep 4, 2025
If your K2 Pumps Water Pump is leaking around the clamp, stop the pump and tighten the clamp nut by 1-2 turns. Alternately, tighten and tap on the clamp with a mallet to seat the O-Ring. Be careful not to over-tighten the clamp.
