Maintenance of
the exhaust air
system and the
air-conditioning
A clean and trouble-free exhaust air system prevents the
apparatus from overheating. The maximum hose length of 6 m
must not be exceeded unless there is an additional ventilator.
5.11 Air-conditioning unit

Checks Check the heat exchangers of the air-conditioning unit for dirt
particles each time a tube is replaced. Dirty heat exchangers
reduce the performance of the air-conditioning unit.
Open the front cover and vacuum-clean the heat exchangers, if
necessary.
Check the connection hose each time the tubes are replaced.
Defective hoses must be replaced.
Step Procedure Reference
1 Open the lower front cover and check the following
items in regular intervals:
2 The air hose of the air-conditioning unit must not have
any kinks.

3 The !lter mats in the base section and in the canopy
section must be clean.

4 Check the exhaust air hose for kinks or damages,
and if there is an additional ventilator due to hose
overlength, check its function as well.
5 An adequate ventilation and air extraction in the studio
must be guaranteed at any time.
6 Check the correct position of the duct pane to make
sure that the base pane is adequately cooled.
