6. Connections & Initial operation
6.1 Connecting mains voltage
DANGER
Live parts
Risk of death or fatal injury due to elec-
tric shock when touching live parts.
Switch neutral
Secure against reconnection
Check for neutrality
Ground and short-circuit
Cover or shield any adjacent live parts
or components
Both the power supply and the related connection
work must comply with national standards, e.g. those
set up by VDE in Germany. The connection work

The connection to the 400 V (or 220 V) mains must


CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS
The electrical installation must be equipped with a
freely accessible all-pole disconnecting device in
accordance with the overvoltage category III.
This means that for full separation each pole must
have a contact gap according to the conditions of the
overvoltage category III.
A residual current-operated circuit breaker (RCD)
with short time delay is absolutely required. KBL
recommends the following type: KBL 3200 0770 00
(type (Typ ABB F 204 A - 40//0,03 AP-R).
Should the operation of the tanning unit cause any
interference in the power supply network, e.g. with
ripple-control systems (TRA), consult your power
supply company to have corresponding blocking ele-
ments (audio frequency suppressors) installed.
