      If the burner(s) on your Kenmore Grill won't light using the ignitor, and the electrode is cracked or broken, especially if it's sparking at the crack, replace it. Also, if the wires are loose or disconnected, reconnect them or replace the electrode/wire assembly. If the electrode tip is not in the proper position, adjust it so that it points toward the gas port opening on the burner, maintaining a distance of 1/8” to 1/4”.

      If the burner(s) on your Kenmore Grill won't light using the ignitor, try cleaning the wire and/or electrode with rubbing alcohol and a clean swab. If this doesn't work, and you've already checked the battery and connections, it might be time to replace the electrode(s).
