9 Servicing, maintenance, disposal
9.1 Cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the operating voltage.
• Do not use aggressive detergents (solvents or similar).
9.2 Servicing, maintenance
The appliance may only be opened by trained service technicians who are authorized
by KERN.
Before opening, disconnect from power supply.
9.3 Disposal
Disposal of packaging and appliance must be carried out by operator according to
valid national or regional law of the location where the appliance is used.
9.4 Error messages
Overload, the mass exceeds the weighing range with
+9 d
Too low mass (below -20 d)
The zeroing range has been exceeded after turning the
scales on or pushing button
Zeroing of unloaded scales with the use of
pushbutton
No load or negative value while determining the
number of pieces and percentage weighing
Totalizing
Total number of weighing over 999
Totalizing
Total mass over 999999
Battery capacity will soon be exhausted (battery
voltage below 5.7 V, with the value below 5.4 V then
automatic turning off takes place)
Should other error messages occur, switch balance off and then on again. If the error
message remains inform manufacturer.
