NOTE
: To troubleshoot the bulk supply on mainframes,
disconnect the DC cables and the current sharing
cable. Check each bulk supply individually.
Turn on unit and observe the display. After a
few seconds it will display the Keysight logo
and the GPIB address. After self- test, it should
either display an error or go to metering mode.
Is the display on?
Check that ribbon cable is properly inserted between
front panel board and bias board.
Perform bias assembly troubleshooting.
Perform front panel assembly troubleshooting.
No output on
all channels ?
YES
Check for 48V from A2 bulk supply (see note).
Perform bias assembly troubleshooting.
Perform backplane assembly troubleshooting.
YES
Go to Sheet 2
Is the fan running?
NO

Check the line switch.
Check cables from AC plug to line switch and from line
switch to A2 bulk supply.
Check for 48V from A2 bulk supply (see note).

Start
Is there a
strange noise?
Check the fans on the power modules.
Troubleshoot the bias assembly.
Check the fans on the A2 bulk supply.

Does keypad
work?
Perform front panel troubleshooting.

Replace the keypad.
