InstructionDisclaimer
Dennis Kirk provides instructions to help our customers better understand how to install the
products we sell. The instructions are exact copies of what the manufacturer includes with the
product being sold.
That means the quality and accuracy of the instructions is solely dependent on what the
manufacturer produces. We do our best to make the text legible and the pictures viewable.
However, the end result depends largely on the quality of instructions the manufacturer
provides.
Therefore, you will find that some instructions are not of the highest quality. Sometimes text is
hard to read and pictures are not easy to see. At times you will find the overall look of the
instructions to be less than professional. However, we feel it is better to provide what we have
rather than provide nothing at all.
To the best of our knowledge the instructions and application information contained in the
instructions is accurate. However, Dennis Kirk assumes no liability related to any errors that
may be contained in the copy of the manufacturer’s instructions we provide. Buyers are solely
responsible to insure that product use is consistent with their application.

Why does my KFI SE35 motor run slowly?
    • C
      Cindy GutierrezJul 29, 2025
If your KFI Winches motor runs slowly or without normal power, it could be due to worn brushes. In this case, you should get a replacement End-Cap #A-CAPKIT. Another possible cause is loose or corroded cable connections, so clean, tighten, or replace them.

      Allison BaileyAug 9, 2025
Your KFI Winches motor may be overheating because the winch running time is too long. Allow the winch to cool down periodically.

How to fix KFI Winches that runs only one way?
    • B
      bwilsonAug 16, 2025
If your KFI Winches runs only one way, it might be due to a defective or stuck contactor. Try tapping the contactor to loosen the plungers, and then repair or replace the contactor if needed. It could also be a defective switch assembly, which would require replacement. Another reason may be a contactor issue. Double check your winch wiring diagram to ensure all wires are correctly connected.

What to do if KFI SE35 Winches motor runs but the cable is not moving?
    • K
      Kayla SmithAug 22, 2025
If the KFI Winches motor runs but the cable isn't moving, ensure the winch is engaged by rotating the clutch cap to the “engage” position. Another possible cause is a broken coupler or stripped shaft, which would require you to replace the coupler or shaft.
