GETTING
STARTED

*Please reference model appropriate service manual
for
procedures and torque specifications.
1.
Protect painted surfaces
with
a soft cloth.
2.
Remove the seat.
3.
Remove plastic battery cover.
4.
Disconnect battery.
AMP INSTALLATION
5.
Follow the proper procedure to remove the
outer
fairing.
6.
Install
amplifier
onto bracket Slide the
amplifier
into the
left
side of the bracket and use supplied hardware
to bolt the amp to the bracket.

7.
Remove the two fasteners holding the radio chassis to the
inner
fairing bracket
8.
Set the
amplifier
assembly
on
top of the
inner
fairing bracket and use the hardware removed in step 7
to fasten it back onto the
inner
fairing bracket.

HARNESS
INSTALLATION
9.
Follow the proper procedure to remove the
fuel
tank.
10. Plug harness into the amplifier.
11. Route the
right
side speaker wires behind the
amplifier
toward the
right
side speaker pod.
12. Route the left side
wires
behind the fairing support toward the
left
side speaker pod.

13. The blue
wire
is to
be
installed in the accessory power source
on
the
left
side of the fairing.
It
is a tan wire with a double
barrel
terminal.

14.
Route the power leads along the main harness.
(pic 5):
1.
Along the
left
side of the frame neck.
2.
Under the black
wire
retainer
on
the neck.
3.
Under the
front
fuel
tank bumper.
4.
Underneath the anodized
wire
retainer.
(You
will
have to loosen the bracket)
5.
Under the
rear
fuel tank bumper.
6.
Follow the harness down the
right
side of the frame and
under
the seat.
15. The blue lead
under
the seat would
be
used if installing a second
amplifier, but
whether
used
or
not,
cover
with
supplied heat
shrink
to reduce the
risk
of a short.
