11. Battery
This alarm is powered by two AA batteries. Under normal operating conditions, the batteries will last a
minimum of one year. NOTE: Constant exposures to extreme temperatures and humidities may affect
battery life.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE ALARM FOR ANY REASON! DO NOT TRY
TO REPAIR THE ALARM YOURSELF.
Low Battery
This alarm is equipped with a low battery monitor circuit. If the battery capacity is nearing the point
where it can no longer provide adequate power for all alarm functions, the low battery condition will
occur. See Troubleshooting Guide. The batteries must be replaced within 30 days of the first occur-
rence of the “Low Battery Warning” to provide continuous alarm protection.
