11. Turn on the water to the cold water feed line. Open the shutoff valve on the system (See Figure12).
12. Open the drinking water faucet for approximately 15 minutes to purge any air and carbon fines (particles)
from the system. Carbon fines are present in all carbon cartridges and are a result of normal manufacturing.

13. Close the drinking water faucet and check all connections for leaks.
14. Place decorative cover onto filter head/bracket assembly (See Figure 13).

by calling 1-800-944-WATER (9283).
The Kinetico Drinking Water Filter (Models 7000 and 7500) with MACguard is tested and certified by NSF
International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for the reduction of aesthetic chlorine, taste and odor. Model 7500 is
also tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 53 for lead, VOC and MTBE as verified
and substantiated by test data. DO NOT USE WITH WATER THAT IS MICROBIOLOGICALLY UNSAFE OR OF
UNKNOWN QUALITY WITHOUT ADEQUATE DISINFECTION BEFORE OR AFTER THE SYSTEM.
