Why is the ultimate pressure of my KINNEY KT300 system excessively high?
    • J
      johnsonlindsayAug 7, 2025
High system ultimate pressure in your KINNEY Water Pump can stem from several issues. The process equipment might be contaminated; in this case, clean it with acetone or alcohol and then pump down overnight. Leaks in the equipment or pump could also be the cause; perform a leak check and repair any leaks. Restricted oil flow, indicated by the oil level not changing with pump pressure, requires draining the oil, cleaning the external oil piping and y-strainer (KT500/850), and replacing the external oil filter if there is one. Contaminated pump oil necessitates an oil change. A malfunctioning discharge valve needs checking. Similarly, a malfunctioning shaft seal or worn/damaged internal parts of the vacuum pump will require inspection and possible repair or replacement.

What to do if my KINNEY KT300 stalls?
    • D
      Daniel TaylorAug 13, 2025
If your KINNEY Water Pump stalls, first check the power supply to the motor. Stalling can also occur due to slipping belts, a malfunctioning pump, contaminated oil, or insufficient lubrication. Also, if the pump is too cold, consider installing water jacket heaters. Finally, foreign particles inside the pump can cause it to stall, requiring disassembly and cleaning.

How to reduce excessive noise in KINNEY KT300 Water Pump at low pressure?
    • M
      Mackenzie WallaceAug 18, 2025
Excessive noise in your KINNEY Water Pump at low pressure can come from the pump discharge. Open the gas ballast valve; if the noise disappears with air bleed, it's likely from the discharge valves and not a major concern. If the noise persists, it could be mechanical, possibly due to worn rotary internals. In this case, consider replacing the piston, cam, and slide pin.

Why does my KINNEY KT300 vibrate?
    • P
      Patrick FranklinAug 25, 2025
If your KINNEY Water Pump vibrates, it might be due to inflexible inlet or outlet connectors; replace them with Kinney® flexible connectors. Another cause could be incorrect or improperly positioned vibration mounts; check their installation to ensure they are correctly set up.

What causes oil in the inlet piping of my KINNEY KT300?
    • B
      Brittany CannonAug 30, 2025
Oil in the inlet piping of your KINNEY Water Pump can be due to the piping being at an incorrect level. Another cause is leaving the gas ballast valve open when stopping the pump; in this case, add an automatic valve. The problem can also be the absence of an isolation valve and vent valve.
