Why won't my KITO Harrington RYU030A25HDD hoist operate?
    • E
      emmaacostaAug 20, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists hoist won't operate, start by checking the circuit breakers, switches, fuses, and connections on the power lines/cable to ensure there is no loss of power. Verify that the voltage and frequency of the power supply match the motor's nameplate rating. Reduce the load if the hoist is overloaded. If the motor has overheated and the thermal overload protector has tripped, consult the troubleshooting guide for 'Motor or brake overheating'. Shut off the power supply and inspect the wiring connections on the hoist control panel and inside the push-button pendant for improper, loose, or broken wires in the hoist electrical system.

What to do if KITO Chain Hoists hoist won't operate?
    • B
      Brent McbrideAug 22, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists hoist isn't operating and you see "Hbb" on the dual-speed unit’s VFD display, the Emergency Stop Button on the Push Button Pendant Control is likely depressed. To resolve this, turn the Emergency Stop Button clockwise to unlock the controls and allow the hoist to operate. Also, check the motor brake adjustment for proper clearance and replace the brake if needed. Check the fault codes for a faulty Hoist VFD and reset the VFD by pressing the Emergency Stop Button on the pendant or replace it if necessary. Inspect the transformer coil for signs of overheating and disconnect the transformer to check for an open winding if there is a defect in the control transformer. If the motor is burned out, replace the motor frame/stator, shaft/rotor, and any other damaged parts.

How to stop load drifting excessively on KITO Harrington RYU030A25HDD?
    • E
      ewalkerAug 26, 2025
To resolve excessive load drift when your KITO Chain Hoists hoist is stopped, start by cleaning and inspecting the brake lining. Then, check the motor brake tolerances and replace the brake if necessary. Also, check the fault codes for a faulty Hoist VFD and reset the VFD by pressing the Emergency Stop Button on the pendant or replace it if necessary.

Why is my KITO Harrington RYU030A25HDD overheating?
    • R
      Roy ArnoldAug 30, 2025
To address overheating in your KITO Chain Hoists hoist and/or trolley motor or brake, reduce the load to stay within the hoist's rated capacity. If there is excessive duty cycle, reduce the frequency of lifts and/or trolley movement. Check the voltage and frequency of the power supply against the motor's nameplate rating if there is wrong voltage or frequency. Check the motor brake adjustment for proper clearance if the brake drags. If the ambient temperature is above 104°F, reduce the frequency of hoist operation to prevent motor overheating, and consider ventilating the hoist or shielding it from the heat if there is extreme external heating.

What to do if KITO Chain Hoists lifts but won't lower?
    • N
      norrisnatalieSep 2, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists hoist lifts but will not lower, check the circuit for loose connections and inspect the down limit switch for malfunction, as the down circuit might be open. Check the continuity of each conductor in the cable and replace the entire cable if one is broken, as there may be a broken conductor in the pendant cord. Check fault codes for a faulty Hoist VFD and reset the VFD by pressing the Emergency Stop Button on the pendant or replace it if necessary. Check electrical continuity and connections for a faulty switch in the pendant and replace or repair as needed. Check the hoist limit switch if there is a faulty operational/ emergency limit switch.

Why does my KITO Harrington RYU030A25HDD trolley drift when stopping?
    • K
      kayla77Sep 7, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists trolley drifts excessively when stopping, clean and inspect the brake lining, and check the motor brake tolerances, replacing if necessary, as the motor brake may not be holding. Check fault codes for a faulty Trolley VFD and reset the VFD by pressing the Emergency Stop Button on the pendant or replace it if necessary. If it is a dual speed only, readjust the VFD Deceleration parameter.

Why does my KITO Chain Hoists operate intermittently?
    • M
      Marie ChurchSep 12, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists hoist and/or trolley operates intermittently, check the movement of the spring-loaded arm, weak spring, connections, and shoe, and replace as needed, as collectors may be making poor contact. Check all wires and terminals for bad connections and replace as needed, as there may be a loose connection in the circuit.
