What to do if my KITO Chain Hoists lifting up failure?
- MMark KeyAug 19, 2025
If your KITO Chain Hoists fails to lift up, several issues could be the cause. Check the following: * Ensure the Ratchet Disc and Pawl are correctly engaged by reassembling them. * Verify the Pawl is not upside down; reassemble it in the correct direction. * Clean any dust or rust from the Pawl Shaft and Pawl to ensure good contact with the Ratchet Disc. If rust is significant, replace the parts. * Confirm the 'O' and 'V' marks on Gear #2 are correctly aligned during reassembly and perform an operational test. * Make sure the Load Chain isn't twisted or tangled between the Chain Guide and Load Sheave; reassemble it carefully. * If the Overload Limiter (OLL) is faulty due to frequent overloading, stop using the hoist and replace the Hand Wheel Assembly.
