FordisassemblyofTypeBS-7actuators,contactKITZbeforedisassembly.
A compressed heavy-duty spring is packed within the spring case of the
TypeBSactuators.Thespringcovermaybepushedoutandcausepersonal
injuryifthetierodusedforfixingthespringcaseisloosenedandremoved.
When disassembling the spring case, make sureto follow the instructions
giveninthismanual.
Preparation
PriortodisassemblyoftheBS-1toBS-6actuators,preparethethreadedrodsandnutsasshowninthetable
below.
Disassembly
1.Reducetheinternalpressuretotheatmosphericlevelandremovetheairtubing.
2.Removethehexagonalbolts〈94〉anddisassembletheactuatorfromthebracket〈93〉.
3.Removeoneofthenuts〈55〉andoneofthetierod〈56〉fromtheactuator.
4.Mountoneofthefourthreadedrodstothepositionwherethetierodwasremoved,andsecurebothends
withthenuts(Fig.25).
5.Repeatthisworkwithallotherthreadedrodsandnuts,oneafteranother.
6.Gradually,alternatelyanddiagonallyloosenthenutsandremoveallwhenthespringhaslostitsrecoiling
force.Thenremovethespringcover〈158〉,springcase〈100〉andspring〈109〉.
7.Removeallofthethreadedrods.
8.Movethespringretainer 〈150〉byhandapartfromtherodguideB〈136B〉tomovethepiston〈177〉towards
therodguideA〈136A〉.
9. Removethehexagonalbolts〈35〉and disassemblethecylinder〈2〉from the housing〈1>,taking care not to
scratchtheinternalsurface.
10.Removethespringretainernut〈13b〉andthespringretainer〈150〉.
11.Removethecapscrew〈140b〉andtherodguide〈136B〉.
