Advanced features The Configuration Organizer provides some additional features that
can help you streamline your scanning activities.
Tasks allow you to group together scan settings (i.e., resolution, file
type, one-sided/two-sided, etc.) with one or more destinations.
Setting shortcuts allow you to create personalized groups of scan
settings to make scanning easier. If there are commonly used
settings, you can create a shortcut to these settings and save them to
your configuration file.
Creating tasks Before creating a task, you must have your destinations setup. For
procedures on setting up destinations see the section entitled, “Setting
up your destination groups” in Chapter 3. For procedures for setting up
your scan settings see the section entitled, “Settings screen” in
Chapter 2.
NOTE: You can have several items in a task group, but only one task
group is allowed per configuration file.
1. In the Configuration Organizer window, access the Destination
screen and select Edit>Add Group>Task. A Task icon is added to
the toolbar on the Configuration Organizer window.
2. Select Edit>Add Item.
