Introduction
This manual provides installation instructions for the
DC (direct current) variable speed Model 6VSG
generator set. Refer to TP-6843, Operation Manual,
for generator set operation and maintenance
instructions.
This generator set is approved for use in stationary
applications in locations served by a public utility,
photovoltaic cells, wind turbines, or any combination of
power sources tied to a battery bank.
Have an authorized distributor/dealer install the
generator set outdoors according to the instructions in
this manual. The generator set installation must
comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and
local code requirements. Do not install this generator
set indoors.

and qualified personnel should install or service the
generator set.

Startup and Registration
When the generator set is installed, complete the
startup and installation checklists supplied with the
startup notification form. Complete and sign the
startup notification form and register the unit using the
Kohler online Warranty Processing System.
