WARNING

stopping.
Never operate engine with heat shields or guards
removed.

Rotating parts can cause severe injury.
Stay away while the engine is in operation.
Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from all moving
parts to prevent injury. Never operate the engine with
covers, shrouds, or guards removed.

Use the following steps to troubleshoot the TMAP and
MAP sensors. Check both the MAP and IAT portions
of the TMAP sensor. Refer to Figure 4-25 and follow
the steps in the troubleshooting chart to verify that:
The TMAP sensor is working correctly and is
not damaged.
The sensor leads have continuity (no open
circuits).
The sensor leads are not shorted.
