Troubleshooting
Issue Possible Cause and Solution
Not working Ensure the upright freezer is plugged in and connected to power. Check for low
voltage. Verify the temperature control knob is in the correct position. Inspect for
power failure or tripping circuit.
Odor Wrap odorous foods closely. Check for rotten foods. Clean the interior thoroughly.
Long-term
operation of
compressor
It is normal for the compressor to run longer in summer when the ambient
temperature is higher. Avoid putting too much food in the freezer at one time and
do not store hot foods. Minimize frequent door openings. Defrost if there is thick
frost.
Door not closing
properly
Check if the door is blocked by food packages. Ensure there is not too much food.
Verify the freezer is balanced.
Loud noises Ensure the oor is at and the freezer is stable. Check if all accessories are
properly placed.
Diculty opening
door
After refrigeration, pressure differences between the inside and outside of the
freezer can cause temporary diculty in door opening. This is a normal physical
phenomenon.
Overheating on
sidewall
The freezer enclosure may emit heat during operation, especially in summer, due to
condenser radiation. This is normal.
Surface
condensation
Condensation may appear on the exterior surface and door seals when humidity is
high. Wipe with a dry towel.
Airow sound,
buzz, clatter
Refrigerants in the lines will produce normal sounds. Buzzing may occur during
compressor startup or shutdown. The solenoid valve or electric switch valve may
clatter, which is normal and does not affect operation.
