OSC FUHCTION GROUP
F11 through F21 are DSS-1 oscillator control functions. These are used to select the multi
sound, octave, mix ratio, oscillator modulation, and other variables.
F11 OSC OCT
1! Oscillator octave function.
■ DSS-1 multisound sounds can be assigned over the
range of C #-1 to G9. Five octaves within this range
correspond to the actual keyboard. The oscillator oc
tave function lets you select which five octaves these
will be. As shown in the diagram, the 16' O SC OCT
setting gives you C x ~ C6, 8 ' gives you C 2 - C ?, and 4 '
gives you C a- C e.

★ It is possible to set the oscillator octave so that the
keyboard is shifted higher than the range covered by
the assigned sounds, in this case no sound will be
produced when you play the keyboaed.
For example, if sounds are assigned over the area of
C ^ C 7 and you specify 4 ' for the O S C O CT value,
then you will get no sound from the top keyboard oc
tave (C7 - Ce).
Obviously you must assign sounds to octaves that
you will wish to use.
¡2] Using the oscillator octave function.
■ Select the oscillator octave function by pressing 11
on the number keys or by moving the DATA EN TRY A
slider.
Use the cursor keys to select the parameter that you
wish to change (i.e.T OSC1 or OSC2). Then use the
data entry B slider to adjust the value.
