i About the function select function
â– This provides filtering for reception of MIDI program
change and for transm ission and reception of control
change, pitch bender, and channel pressure (after-
touch).
Program change can be set to:

â– W hen a program change m essage Is received, the
DSS-1 responds according to your setting in this
function. This is shown in the chart here.

â– Turn the m odualtion (MDD) param eter on to enable
transm ission and reception of control change and
pitch bender m essages. Turn MOD off to filter out
transm ission and reception of these message.
â– Turn the after-touch (AFT) param eter on to enable
transm ission and reception of channel pressure
m essages. Turn M OD off to filter out these
messages.
NOTE:
If the program change mode is M O DE 2 or MODE 3
and the required system nam e for the received pro
gram num ber is different from the currently resident
system name in m em ory, then the G ET SYSTEM
function is perform ed autom atically.
(But MIDI param eters w ill not be loaded.)
Exam ple: If the program change m ode is M O DE 2
and system A is in m em ory, then if program num ber
32 is received, system D w ill be loaded and the
selected program num ber will be num ber 1. (SYS D:
