To connect the EC350 to a computer, you need a MIDI interface for the computer,
sequencing or musical notation software, and two standard MIDI cables. Connect
the EC350 MIDI OUT connector to the MIDI IN connector of the computer. Con-
nect the EC350 MIDI IN connector to the MIDI OUT connector of the computer.

Selecting the MIDI base channel
The MIDI standard has 16 separate channels available for transmission and recep-
tion of data. When turned on, the EC350 receives on all 16 channels, and transmits
on a single channel. To transmit and receive data from the EC350, you need to
choose which of the 16 channels is the MIDI base channel.
Hold down the TRANSPOSE/FUNCTION button, and press the note in the range
C2–D#3 corresponding to the desired MIDI channel.
